Hi duct tape fans! Today we’re going to make a storage bin out of duct tape and an oatmeal container. You wouldn’t believe the amount of materials you can find by rummaging through a recycling bin. I enjoyed this craft because I could use all my old scraps of duct tape. It was fun experimenting with different heights for each stripe. Because the container is so deep, a shower scrubber is hidden at the bottom to give the markers a boost (shh!). Here are the steps to create this container:
Materials:
Oatmeal container
Duct Tape
Shower Scrubber
Scissors
1. Find a clean oatmeal container or other round tub.
2. Cover with stripes of tape. It’s fun to use different sizes for each stripe.
3. Put shower scrubber at bottom of container.
Wow, only three steps! This project doesn’t take very much time to make, but be sure to layer the stripes as neatly as possible. I won’t be posting for a few weeks, but make sure to explore DTD for more crafts, and grab the new button!
This is really clever and cute! I have never found such cute duct tapes though! Where did you get them?
Thanks so much for the nice comment, curlycrafter! I’m glad you like the storage container. I usually get my duct tape at Joann Fabrics, but you can also get it at Michaels and AC Moore, or pretty much any craft store for that matter (I don’t know what stores you have in your area.) Of course, you can always purchase it off the Duck Brand website (found in my “Links” page). Have fun!
Yeah I saw that in you links and went on to Duck Brands website but it got all weird on me! It’s asking me to verify myself and leave a password.
Hopefully it functions better tomorrow! Definitely in needs of cute tapes now.
It looks like they changed the site around. I’ll have to update the link. Thanks so much for letting me know, I had no idea that happened! I’ll fix that as soon as possible!
Oh good!
Alright, should be fixed now :).
Thank you 🙂
