Brighten Up your Phone Charger with Washi Tape!

Washi Tape Charger

Everything is brighter in the summer: The Sun, foods (like delicious Popsicles!), and even our clothes. Phone chargers should be no exception! Brighten up your phone charger with a bit of washi tape this weekend. Here’s how (Also, enjoy the galaxy theme of this collage; I’m pretty proud of it!)

Charger Instructions

Materials:

Scissors (for clean lines)

Phone charger (Mine had two parts: a wire and a charging cube.)

Wide colored masking tape (Mine is called Scotch Expressions masking tape and is 0.94″ wide.)

Rolls of washi tape with some transparent areas to let the masking tape show through

Steps (These are the instructions for making a charger that looks like mine, but there’s really no wrong way to do this!):

1. Wrap the charging cube in the wide masking tape.

2. Again, wrap the charging cube, but this time with your slightly transparent tape covering your first layer.

3. Cover both ends of the wire in washi tape.

4. Plug the wire into the cube!

As there are many different types of phones, chargers will vary. You can modify these steps based on your charger and personal style. I encourage you to experiment with different colors and patterns of tape. Have fun with it!

Also, I will unfortunately be on vacation next week and unable to blog. So… my next post won’t be until AT LEAST a week from now. I can hear everyone sighing at me. I’m sorry! Anyway, Adiós, and enjoy your FANTABULOUS new charger. ❤

Washi Tape Greeting Cards

image-3Hello everyone! I’ve done it again… it’s been a VERY long time since I last posted :(. Even though I’ve been busy, I PROMISE I haven’t forgotten about the blog! I’m super excited, because this Christmas Santa brought me this wheel of Washi tape:

image-8I love all the colors and patterns, and I immediately had to try them out. I decided to start with thank-you notes.

Card Collage1. Gather your materials. You need:

2 pieces of heavy card stock (6 in x 10 in and 6 in by 5 in)

A few colors of Washi tape

Double sided tape

2. Fold the larger piece of cardstock in half the “hamburger way.”

3. Lay a strip of Washi tape slightly longer than the width of the card across the front.

4. Fold the ends of the tape over to the inside of the card. Don’t worry, we’ll hide these later.

5 & 6. Repeat steps 3 and 4 in any pattern you choose.

7 & 8. Using double-sided tape, stick the smaller piece of card stock in place inside the card to cover up the folded Washi tape. The inside of the card should now be blank.

And that’s all! Feel free to leave any questions in the comments below. Remember to like, share, comment, and if you haven’t already, follow this blog via WordPress Reader or Bloglovin’!
