Hey everyone! Today’s craft is a super cute washi tape garland! These garlands are highly popular on Pinterest, so I decided to try them out. The craft is simple and quick, but is a great way to decorate walls, bulletin boards, birthday cards, and so much more. Here’s my tutorial:
Materials:
Washi tape
Twine
Scissors
1. Wrap equally spaced pieces of tape around the twine.
2. Trim the tape pieces to your desired size and shape. To make sure all of my flags looked the same, I cut one piece to the correct shape, then placed it over the other flags so I could “trace” with scissors.
3. Hang your garland! I hung my garland with washi tape, but you could also use pushpins on a bulletin board.
That’s all!
If you haven’t done so already, follow Duct Tape Doodles on Pinterest, Bloglovin’ and Google Plus!
Have a great day 🙂
Love this!
Thank you!
Cool blog! I added your button to my https://craftercrums.wordpress.com/ blog but the picture for some reason does not seem to be working. (I tried to find an email or other PM sort of contact but could not find one. )
Thank you! That’s weird; I’ll try to fix it… If that doesn’t work, I think you can just save the image and then make it a link. I’ll link to your blog too!
I fixed the code; it should work this time, but you need to copy and paste again. So sorry about that, and thanks for using my button!
Ok put the new code in my widget…. YES! it works… I was wondering, How do you make the box that the code goes in? this way when I finally make my own buttons or banners I can include it. post one to the sidebar
Great! So happy it worked! If you google “grab my button code,” there are a lot of sites with fill-in-the-blank codes that you can place in a text/html widget in your sidebar. I used this one: https://docs.google.com/document/d/16JMywO2qOOfJMi4yFLZPsxf_8a8Nscq-ljb2ro03q4Y/edit
You will need to host your image somewhere like Photobucket.
Let me know how it works, or if you need any help! And thank you again for adding my button, despite the challenges involved 🙂
actually I had posted the other button that is on my site to photobucket (as when I try to add an image with html from my ref. card it doesn’t seem to ever want to work so I just changed the photobucket link to go directly to that site.
I went on your site and didn’t see the DTD button; did it not work? Maybe I am just looking in the wrong place.
Sorry, I am a bit confused; were you able to add the widget in the end?
Sorry about the confusion!
Which one did you go on? I only Have it on the craft one. I can see it https://craftercrums.wordpress.com/ at the bottom on the Left Side bar but Notice being as I have the link list.. I’l move it up to after that link list.
My bad; I went on the wrong site! Were you able to make the “grab my button”?
I haven’t done it yet. I still have to make buttons or banners
Finally I got the chance to try this out but the code only shows the image twice. Whether I put it on the page for my awards on http://multiscreenmotivision.wordpress.com/ or I use it in the side bar (which I took the repeat of the code out. Doesn’t it need like a table code or something like that so the code for the image & link can be written in the ‘table’ box whatever you want to call it?
Such a simple idea but so effective. Fab!
