Well, it’s that time of year again. For many, school has already started or will start soon. This is a fall themed bookmark, perfect for the endless amount of reading homework that is undoubtedly approaching. It uses the my FAVORITE combination: duct tape and a paint marker. Here’s the tutorial:
Materials:
1 role of duct tape (preferably fall-ish)
1 Sharpie paint marker
1. Cut a piece of tape a little over twice your desired length for the bookmark.
2. Fold in half as neatly as possible (but don’t worry if it’s not perfect).
3. Trim off any sticky areas and wrinkles that are near the edge of the bookmark.
4. Decorate with the paint marker! Make sure you shake the marker well before you start. I recommend testing the marker on a scrap piece of tape first to make sure the paint doesn’t come out too quickly (It’ll make HUGE mess. I’ve been there.)
And that’s it! If you enjoyed this duct tape craft, be sure to like, comment, and if you haven’t already, follow Duct Tape Doodles on WordPress or Bloglovin’! Good luck for the school year!
This is so cool and way easier than it looks! The pattern looks like batik fabric even though its tape and marker. Thanks for posting. 🙂 http://trend-mixblog.com/
Thank you! I never noticed the similarity to batik fabric but you’re totally right! Thanks for the comment.
I have just nominated you to do the liebster award
